Development of a large area scintillation neutron detector

We have been developing larger area 2-D neutron detectors for BL18 at MLF, which is a neutron diffractometer for single crystal neutron structural analysis. 41 2-D detectors with a sensitive area of 256$$times$$256 mm and a pixel size of 4 mm are currently installed around the sample to improve the measurement efficiency. In this presentation, we will introduce two detectors with 2$$times$$2 larger than the conventional ones (512$$times$$512 mm) developed for installation under the vacuum scattering chamber of SENJU and one with 1$$times$$3 larger (256$$times$$768 mm) developed for installation in a detector bank of SENJU.
